The MPRB, University of Minnesota, City of Minneapolis, and Hennepin County have informally agreed on a solution to reconstruct and stabilize East River Parkway and the regional trail along the Mississippi River north of the Washington Ave Bridge. The trail will remain off-street, the parkway width will remain the same as it is currently, parking will remain available on the east side of the parkway. The existing wall near Arlington St will be extended a few hundred feet south to protect the slope from further decay.
