Spark’d Studios are creative technology hubs for young people located in recreation centers that support diverse interests, skill development and self-expression.
Studios at the locations below offer creative arts, media, technology, and STEM programming as well as open studio time for young people to access technology, pursue their interests, connect with community, and develop meaningful projects together.

All studios are staffed with a full-time Spark’d Studios specialist and mentor, to support the creative process. Studio programs include both structured activities and drop-in open time each week.

Representing a historic infusion of new capital and activities within MPRB recreation centers, Spark’d Studios provides creative arts programming and access to innovative technology for young people to engage with new ideas and experiment with process-based learning in a supportive afterschool youth space.
Designed to encourage youth to create freely, grow their interests and cultivate their skills, the studios facilitate meaningful opportunities for creative projects, personal development, and collaboration to emerge across the urban park system.
The Spark’d Studios’ core curriculum offers a range of interdisciplinary activities, drop-in studio hours, certification programs, and access to a range of professional technology to explore creative fields such as design, photography, journalism, music, podcasting, documentary, visual art, creative writing, STEAM, e-sports, entrepreneurship, performance, crafting, career readiness and more!
