Pickleball is a fun, rapidly growing sport enjoyed by all ages and skill levels. The game combines elements of tennis, badminton and ping-pong and can be played indoors or outdoors on a badminton-sized hard surface court. It involves players using a paddle to hit a plastic ball with holes over a net in singles or doubles play.

Future Pickleball Courts

More opportunities to build pickleball facilities are included in the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board Capital Improvement Plan and the 20-Year Neighborhood Park Plan asset rehabilitation schedule. When adopted master plans for parks include pickleball, MPRB will build those courts when funding becomes available. More information on where future proposed courts may be located will be available soon.
