The 6:15 public hearing will take place during MPRB’s regularly scheduled Board meeting. The Minneapolis Parks and Recreation Board (MPRB) is holding a public hearing for concept approval of improvements for Pearl Park playground. Please join us! The improvements are planned for the Fall of 2021.
Background
The South Side Area Master plan was completed and approved by MPRB in 2016.
This project will re-design and construct a new playground at Pearl Park. The design for the playground will be guided by the parks’s Master Plan.
Pearl Park was allotted $306,495 in CIP (Capital Improvement Project) funding for playground improvements and an additional $3,100 in Park Dedication. The total budget for Pearl Park Playground and site improvements is $ 309,595.00. This funding will go towards staff, consultant time, community engagement, design and construction.
