Donate new and gently used swimwear for children, youth, women and men
Posted on 4 August, 2023Greatest need is for boys swim trunks youth sizes 6 to 16
The Minneapolis Park and Recreation (MPRB) is committed to helping everyone use and enjoy the Jim Lupient and North Commons water parks and Webber Natural Swimming Pool (NSP).
The required appropriate swimwear can pose a barrier for some visitors. That’s why we periodically collect new and gently used swim attire. But donations have run out, and weeks remain for the summer swim season. Here’s how you can help:
What to donate
- New and gently used swimsuits in all sizes and styles
- Boys swim trunks in youth sizes 6 to 16 are most needed
- Swim trunks for men and boys must have a mesh liner
Where to donate
Drop off swimsuits at the front desk at any of these locations through Monday, September 4 (Labor Day):
Details
- Patrons can receive swimsuits at no cost at North Commons and Lupient Water Parks and Webber NSP
- Size, availability depends on supply
- Burkinis available on a limited basis
