Events

A variety of special events are put on throughout the year by the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board and many permitted outside organizations. Events held in Minneapolis parks showcase the city’s cultural diversity, promote wellness, encourage volunteerism, raise awareness to support numerous causes and provide fantastic entertainment for residents and visitors of all ages. Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

Lake Harriet Winter Kite Festival

Minneapolis Red, White and Boom!

MPRB and its partners put some sparks – large and small – into the 4th of July: This family-friendly celebration includes music, food, entertainment and more – plus the headlining fireworks.

The Pollinator Party

Bringing together bees, scientists, beekeepers, food, live music and activities, the Pollinator Party is an opportunity for people of all ages to celebrate the life and work of honey bees and native bees.

Minneapolis International Festival
