Join project staff to look at the master plan proposals with a view of real-world conditions at three sites on June 22, 9 am-noon
The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) has received lots of feedback since it published revised long-term plans for improving and managing Minnehaha Creek and the parkway, parkland and trails adjacent to it through Minneapolis several weeks ago.
The master planning process continues this Saturday, June 22, 2019, when MPRB staff host a series of onsite conversations about aspects of the plan. Meeting onsite is a good way to look at the proposals with a literal view of real world conditions. These brief visits are meant to answer questions and clarify the design proposals. No recommendations will be made at these site visits.
Onsite Conversations Schedule
The public is welcome to attend any or all of the sessions. No transportation will be provided to or between sites. The schedule and meeting places are as follows:
9:00 AM – Lynnhurst Focus Area
Meet in the Lynnhurst Recreation Center parking lot, 1345 W Minnehaha Parkway
10:00 AM – Nicollet Focus Area
Meet under the Nicollet Avenue bridge on the south side of the creek
11:00 AM – Portland/Parkway Focus Area
Meet at “Cottonwood on the Trail,” the bronze bunny sculpture just east of the intersection of Portland Avenue and Minnehaha Parkway.
