Thanks to everyone who weighed in on the initial concept designs presented last November for improvements at Franklin Steele Square Park.
After reviewing all of the feedback, the design team has developed a final concept that includes the features listed and shown below.
- central youth soccer field, with ornamental fencing and landscaping along three sides
- additional lawn space west of the field for spectators, flexible seating
- full basketball court near the pavilion
- playground west of the soccer field, with a challenge course and other new equipment
- community garden expansion with additional beds and paths
- new looped paths around the soccer field, connecting new park entrance and all park features and amenities
