The Painted Turtle serves scratch-made fare, locally-sourced ice cream, and picnic and beachside snacks out of the concessions building (4955 W Lake Nokomis Parkway) at Lake Nokomis Main Beach.

In 2022 the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board and Painted Turtle knew the existing Lake Nokomis facility did not meet the State of Minnesota and City of Minneapolis’ requirements to serve beer and wine. The MPRB is working with Painted Turtle to create a structure that will allow beer and wine to be served for the 2024 season.
