Fall 2021 – Winter 2022: Community engagement
Winter 2022: Board of Park Commissioners approves amending park master plans to include pickleball
Fall 2022 – Spring 2023: Conversion of two tennis courts next to Lake Nokomis Community Center into six pickleball courts
Fall 2022: Pickleball striping added to tennis courts along on Minnehaha Parkway Regional Trail
Winter 2022-23: Design and bidding for two new pickleball courts at Loring Park, next to the newly renovated tennis courts.
Summer 2023: Construction of two new pickleball courts at Loring Park

History
The three master plans were amended by the Board of Commissioners in 2022. Adoption dates and links to each master plan are below:
- Loring Park Master Plan (part of the Downtown Service Area Master Plan): adopted November 2017
- Minnehaha Parkway Regional Trail Master Plan: adopted November 2020
- Nokomis-Hiawatha Regional Park Master Plan: adopted March 2015 and amended August 2017
