New dedicated outdoor pickleball courts open at Dickman and Loring Parks this fall

New courts also opened at Lake Nokomis earlier this summer

The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) will open two more sets of dedicated outdoor pickleball courts this fall after celebrating the first dedicated pickleball courts in the Minneapolis park system opening near Lake Nokomis earlier this summer.

Dickman Park

Construction is underway at Dickman Park on a project that includes two pickleball courts, half-court basketball, an outdoor grill, additional picnic tables and seating, and updated stormwater infrastructure!

This two-acre neighborhood park is located at 614 2nd St. NE, in St. Anthony West neighborhood, near Boom Island Park. The new park amenities are expected to open in October.

Loring Park

Construction is scheduled to start in early August at Loring Park on a project that will build two new pickleball courts right next to four tennis courts that were resurfaced last year near Harmon Place. These courts are also expected to open in October.

Please stay out of construction areas and respect onsite signage and detours.
