Background
Project History
The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) has considered over the last several years possible updates to the Naming Policy that would address interest in naming for donations, names that no longer meet the mission and values of the MPRB, equity in naming, and identification and approval of indigenous names for parks or park assets. The draft policy will allow community members to weigh in on the proposed language and provide feedback into this important aspect of Minneapolis parks.

The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board is actively considering several naming nominations. The following chart includes upcoming public hearings for each naming under consideration. All public hearings are held at 5:45 pm (unless otherwise noted) at the Mary Merrill Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board Headquarters Building.
