Classes are officially underway in Minneapolis Public Schools (MPS), which means wading pools located on or adjacent to MPS properties have been closed down by the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB).
Pools closed for the season
Jim Lupient Water Park and North Commons Water Park are closed for the season.
All wading pools are now closed. Check the MPRB Pools web page for future updates on when these pools will close.
The majority of MPRB lifeguards are returning to college and high school classes, so moving forward lifeguards will not be provided at all MPRB beaches except Lake Nokomis Main Beach and Wirth Lake Beach.
