The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board Celebrates Juneteenth! Also known as Freedom Day or Emancipation Day, Juneteenth is one of two freedom celebrations held throughout the United States; the other is the Fourth of July.

Come and meet your neighbors and neighborhood youth. Tour Pershing Recreation Center and get to know the staff and new Director. Each month will feature a theme and have events and crafts that coordinate to the theme.

Patriotic laser light show set to music at boom island at 10:00 PM. Parking at Boom island parking lot is reserved for accessibility. Parking is available in the nearby Teachers Federation and Graco parking lots.

Slip, Slide Water Day, is an event for the entire family. Come to Harrison Park to cool off in the wading pool, and participate in other water activities. This event will also have food, games, music, community resources and ice cream to cool off.
