After receiving feedback from the community on the proposed concept plan, the MPRB staff made changes to the first proposal guided by the community’s comments and suggestions. We now have two revised concept plan options [PDF], and we ask the community about their preference. The option’s difference is the future use of the current tennis court area after the tennis court’s removal.
Concept Plan- Option 1 proposes adding a multi-use paved area with two hoops at different heights to expand the playground and a community garden with raised planting beds and a small orchard.
Concept Plan-Option 2 proposes adding a full basketball court (high school size) and no community garden or orchard. This option adds a new amenity that is not in the Master Plan approved by the MPRB in 2016. Therefore, a Master Plan Amendment process will be required to approve this option.
