The replacement of outdated fitness equipment at six locations on the east side of Lake Nokomis was planned to be complete in early August. However, the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) learned this week that delivery of the new equipment has been delayed until early September.
MPRB understands that such delays are disappointing. Staff will install the equipment as soon as possible after its arrival in Minneapolis, and we’ll announce updates as necessary.
In the meantime, please keep out of fenced construction areas for your own and others’ safety.
