Unfortunately, construction of planned improvements at Folwell Park are postponed until 2025, due to recent bids submitted for that work that exceed the project budget.
Staff for the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) and the project design team will adjust the design and re-bid construction for the project this fall 2024, during what we hope will be a better season for bidding.
This year, MPRB has experienced several construction bids exceeding budgets for park improvement projects. We sincerely apologize for the delay, and are hopeful about completing Folwell Park improvements next year.
