UPDATE – 2022 Planned Repairs: Failed pedestrian trail segments at Bde Maka Ska, Minnehaha Creek

Repairs of the pedestrian trail segments along Bde Maka Ska and Minnehaha Parkway Regional Trail are scheduled to begin in mid-April and completed by mid-May.

Both trail segments failed due to erosion: One along the southwest corner of Bde Maka Ska; the other, along Minnehaha Creek just east of Bloomington Avenue.

The project includes removing the damaged trail segments and replacing them with segments further away from the lake and creek, as well as restoring the lake shoreline and creek bank.
