Demolition of some existing park amenities will begin in the coming weeks to prepare for upcoming park improvements at Bottineau Field Park. The concrete pool decking surrounding the wading pool will be removed over the coming weeks, and the pool will likely re-open next summer along with the new splash pad. The existing playground equipment & sand will be removed this March and are aiming to reopen the playground with new equipment and surfacing later this summer. We know how important play space is. Please see the flyer below for indoor playground information at northeast parks, including Bottineau Field Park. If groups are interested in renting out the gym, you can reach out to rec center director Brittany Walsh bwalsh@minneapolisparks.org for more details. We are aiming to have the new play area completed by the time school opens in the fall, though some areas of the park may still be under construction at that time. Any active construction areas will be fenced off as needed to keep park users safe.
