The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board will be replacing the playground equipment and surfacing at Loring Park.

In 2021, the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board will be replacing the playground equipment and surfacing at Loring Park. We are currently requesting input via online survey (click link on this webpage) from the community to help develop a concept plan for the playground. The new playground features will built within the existing play container footprint.

Over the winter, the concept design will be shared with the community and finalized with construction anticipated in 2021.

Funding for the playground is from CIP (Capital Improvement Project) funds in the amount of $360,000. Funding goes towards staff time for design, materials and construction.
