After the fire and subsequent demolition of the pavilion at Bde Maka Ska, MPRB is planning improvements at the site to disconnect outdated and restore basic services for park users and vendors.
The work includes:
- Disconnect existing water service and sanitary lines per city of Minneapolis requirements.
- Restore electricity to existing Sailing School and Wheel Fun vendors and install new electrical pedestal for food truck(s).
- Pave over remaining building foundation and floor slab to provide smooth, walkable surface for users and food trucks.
- Install new permanent drinking fountain along trail.
