Construction of playground improvements at Kenny Park remains on track, with completion for the project expected in mid- to late November.
Removal of selected play structures and painting of others is complete; excavation and grading for the new play area was moved to the week of October 25, due to subcontractor availability. Installation of new play equipment is expected the first week of November.
The MPRB understands the effect of this project on recess time at Kenny Community School, and shares students’ eagerness to see it completed as soon as possible. This construction schedule was the best option available, due to number of MPRB park improvements projects underway and local conditions in the construction market. We appreciate everyone’s understanding, and apologize for the inconvenience.
