Construction on improvements at Bethune Park finished up this spring, following work to amend soil and seed the new ballfield. The field will remain fenced for part of summer to allow turf to establish this season; some additional seeding may occur as well. In addition, several park benches will be replaced this summer.
A ribbon cutting celebration for the park improvements will take place next spring with a ball game on the new field and partners who supported its construction.
