Nov. 22, 2021: Due to weather, planned repairs to pedestrian trail segments along Bde Maka Ska and the Minnehaha Parkway Regional Trail are postponed until spring 2022.
Both trail segments failed due to erosion: One along the southwest corner of Bde Maka Ska; the other, along Minnehaha Creek just east of Bloomington Avenue.
The project includes removing the damaged trail segments and replacing them with segments further away from the lake and creek, as well as restoring the lake shoreline and creek bank.
MPRB staff will share updates once work is scheduled to resume.
