Background: Farview Park Improvements

This new phase of improvements follows a series of investments made to the park and recreation center from 2017 to 2021, including:

  • Conversion of former play areas to a flexible-use space and a new, consolidated play area with seating and landscaping
  • Accessibility improvements in the parking lot, recreation center entry and the path between them
  • Roof and siding replacements at the recreation center and a new heating and cooling system.
  • These projects were prioritized for funding from the 20-Year Neighborhood Park Program (NPP20) based on racial and economic equity criteria and on the condition of park facilities and assets. (More on NPP20)
