The project has started and community and stakeholder engagement will begin soon. The design team has been tasked with creating a Wayfinding Plan and a set of construction documents from which to install several new signs throughout the park.
The park’s signs are aging significantly, and most are not up to date. Many do not match any sort of standardized design for form or function. Much of the information noted within any remaining signs is not always helpful for new park users.
The goals of this project are to bring new users into the park, allow free and informed movement throughout the park, and to increase safety. The project will follow the guidance of the Theodore Wirth Regional Park Master Plan and other MPRB plans and policies.
