Project will reconstruct fountain and possibly add plaza, seating or interactive water feature
The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) plans to reconstruct the Berger Fountain in Loring Park and may also add some new landscape elements as part of the project!
Commonly known as the “Dandelion Fountain” based on its trademark spherical spray pattern, the 48-year-old fountain has not operated for several years due to its fragile and deteriorating plumbing.
Right now the MPRB is working on a design for the repair project. This will include reconstruction of the fountain, plus it could add a plaza, seating, and/or an interactive water feature. Fill out this short survey to let us know what you think:

Berger Fountain Task Force
The MPRB has an agreement in place with Berger Fountain Task Force to raise funds for the Berger Fountain reconstruction project. The Task Force is comprised of representatives from Citizens for a Loring Park Community, Friends of Loring Park, Loring Greenway and at-large representatives.
