The initial round of removal of the mature buckthorn in the Cedar Lake Regional is scheduled to begin in Fall/Winter 2024. Work commencement is reliant on ground freeze to minimize impacts from equipment used during this project phase. Visitors should expect to see hand crews utilizing chainsaws as well as forestry mowing equipment.
