Improvements at Hall Park will include a new playground, landscaping enhancements and more

The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) is pleased to announce Phase 2 improvements at Hall Park.

Phase 2 will bring several exciting upgrades to the park, including a brand-new playground on the east side with updated equipment and surfacing. The project also includes landscaping enhancements, better pathways around the playground, and improved pollinator plantings around bike skills course. You can view the playground design here.

Construction is expected to begin in May, continue through June, and wrap up in July. Please note that the playground will be closed during this time.

About Phase 1 Improvements

Initial improvements completed in 2023 include an expanded playground, updated paths and amenities and native-plant landscaping on the park’s west side. A new bike skills area was constructed on the east side, with other amenities, including with a bikeable sculpture designed and constructed by local artists and youth (see numbers 6 and 9 in the image above).
