Glen Gale Park’s playground and park paths are currently closed, as construction on park improvements began earlier in December with removal of existing playground equipment. This will allow construction on the rest of the project to move forward more quickly in the spring.

The project brings the following improvements to the park: expanded play areas with new equipment; updates to paths; new basketball half-court; upgraded picnic areas; and enhanced landscaping, including naturalized plantings and stormwater mitigation with pollinator habitats.

It’s expected that all construction will be complete in late June, barring delays due to weather.

Thanks for your support and patience while MPRB works to improve Minneapolis parks.
