The new playground at Bottineau Field Park is open!
Contractors adjusted the construction fencing to allow safe use of the new playground while remaining work at the site is completed. Construction will wrap up in a few weeks, and the majority of the site will be open in December.
Over the next few weeks, the following work will be completed:
- Installation of new splash pad equipment
- Installation of site furnishings
- Installation of pool fencing
- Installation of plant material
Next spring, artful surfacing will be applied to the new full-court basketball plaza, the wading pool with be repainted and shades will be hung on the newly installed structures.
Finally, MPRB will host a grand opening celebration and ribbon cutting with the community! We’ll share more details in the spring.
MPRB thanks everyone for their patience and support while we work to improve Minneapolis parks.
