At 6:45 pm on Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2025, Minneapolis Park Police responded to a call of a potential deceased person near the Kenilworth Trail and W. 21st Street. Upon arrival, they discovered a deceased adult male body in an encampment located in a wooded area on Met Council property. In continuing to search the area, Park Police found another adult male with undetermined injuries. That victim was transported to HCMC. A third person was also arrested for being a non-compliant sex offender after trying to enter the crime scene.
The connection between the two individuals involved is unknown at this point. The cases will be investigated by the Minneapolis Police Homicide Unit.
