Construction of Bottineau Park improvements resumes this spring!

Construction will soon be in full swing at Bottineau Field Park. Tree protection and construction fencing will be installed on site beginning this week, and excavation and rough grading work in the park will follow in May.

What’s staying open and what will be closed?

During construction, a number of park features and areas will remain open, including:

  • Recreation center building
  • Premier athletic field
  • Multi-use field
  • Skatepark
  • Sand volleyball
  • Half-court basketball

Any potential short-term closures to these facilities will be communicated in advance.

Parking lot closure and removal

In getting to Bottineau Park, people should plan to park cars on nearby streets, or use public transit or other active transportation (biking, walking). Throughout project construction, contractors will use the parking lot for equipment, materials and other needs, and ultimately it will be removed as part of the improvements project. For the foreseeable future, the park will not have a dedicated parking lot (although one may be constructed as part of a future project to rebuild recreation center).
