Construction to complete large play area resumes in late April

The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board is pleased to report that construction resumes soon on the Powderhorn Park Improvements project.

Work to complete the new playground on the park’s southeast corner may begin as early as Monday, April 21, and is expected to last for several weeks.

We will provide construction updates as necessary, as well as an opening date for the new playground – and a ribbon-cutting celebration – as soon as those dates are confirmed.

As for other elements of the improvements project: a new drinking fountain will be installed near the play areas in early summer, but that should not interfere with their use.
