The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) is pleased to announce that construction of the planned splash pad and other improvements at Victory Park will begin this Friday, June 28 or early next week.
During construction, access between the 2-5-year and 5-12-year play areas along 44th Avenue North will be temporarily blocked so crews can access the project site. Please follow signs at the park to move between these play areas. The MPRB apologizes in advance for this inconvenience.
In addition, the construction phase includes about 30 days for concrete work to cure (harden) for the splash pad. It may look like work is not occurring, but this curing process is necessary!
Finally, MPRB asks everyone to keep out of fenced areas throughout construction, for their own safety and others’ safety.
