A public hearing will be held on Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at 6:30pm in the Board Room of the Mary Merrill Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board Headquarters, 2117 West River Road North, to consider approval of the concept plan for improvements at Bryn Mawr Meadows Park.
Individuals who would like to comment on the concept plan may speak to the Board of Commissioners may call into the Board meeting during the public hearing, or submit written comments (details on both options are below).
Next steps
- Board approval: Following the public hearing, the Board of Commissioners will consider approving the concept plan during its meeting on Wednesday, November 17.
- Final design, construction bids: With Board approval, project staff will develop a final design for the project and receive bids from construction contractors.
- Construction: With a successful bid, project construction is planned to begin in late spring 2022, with completion in 2023.
How to submit public hearing comments
Currently, virtual Board meetings are authorized under Minn. Stat. 13D.021, due to the local public health emergency (novel coronavirus pandemic).
Commissioners attend Board meetings remotely by telephone or other electronic means; community members who wish to offer comments may call into the meeting or send written comments to be included in the record and shared with Commissioners. Members of the public are not permitted inside the Mary Merrill Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board Headquarters for Board meetings.
Call in
To provide comments by phone during the public hearing, complete the Virtual Speaker Signup Form before 12 noon on November 3.
- Speakers will be sent a call-in number and conference ID one hour before the meeting
- Speakers can call into the meeting using the call-in number and conference ID at its the scheduled time
- Speakers will enter the meeting and the committee chair will provide guidance for commenting
- Speakers can watch the meeting through normal meeting broadcast
Be aware there is a 20-30 second lag between the call and the broadcast
Please turn off the broadcast sound when you are called on to speak.
