The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board, in coordination with the Bassett Creek Watershed Management Commission and the City of Minneapolis, has recently advertised to receive bids from contractors for park and water quality pond improvements at Bryn Mawr Meadows Park. Bids will be opened in late July, when the MPRB will make its recommendation on a low, responsive bidder. The bidding process was delayed from early spring to summer due to permitting and approvals processes taking longer than expected. To lower the chances of too few bids and more expensive bids during the summer when contractors are most busy, the construction timeframe is now anticipated to be between mid-September and summer 2023.
