The oak savanna planting at Bohemian Flats Park is nearly complete and will require three years of establishment to ensure its success. The temporary fence surrounding the savanna will remain in place while it establishes. Please do not enter the area; the small plantings are fragile and need time to grow so they out-compete the more aggressive weeds.
Over the next few years, the savanna will be periodically mowed and potentially burned as part of the establishment work. If a burning is required, notification will go out to neighbors.
