Just before 5 pm on March 21, 2026, Minneapolis Park Police received a call from a University of Minnesota employee reporting a possible body in the Mississippi River near the Stone Arch Bridge. Minneapolis Park Police responded with University of Minnesota Police and Minneapolis Fire and confirmed a body in the water. Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office is the responding agency.
