An accessibility improvements project is coming to the McRae Recreation Center in the Summer – Fall of 2024! These improvements focus on the interior spaces of the building and include:
– Renovating the existing interior men’s and women’s restrooms into three individual all-gender restroom stalls with a shared sink, and one large all-gender, ADA-accessible restroom with an adult changing table
– Renovating the exterior restrooms for ADA accessibility
– A new front reception desk
– New cabinetry in the Arts & Crafts Room
– Select cabinetry replacements in the Kitchen
– New flooring throughout the building
Given these extensive improvements, the recreation center will be closed this summer and fall.
