Project Update – October 18, 2016

Staff continues to study conditions related to pumping of stormwater and groundwater from the ponds at the golf course. Important recent investigations include measuring depths of basements and entrance points for potential high water conditions in nearby homes. Initial measurements for those homes have been completed. Next steps include processing and assessment of data collected during the summer and conducting investigations that will help frame decisions related to pumping (soil subsidence, groundwater changes, and historic lake elevation and creek flow patterns). While investigations related to pumping continue, the golf course remains open and the pumps remain on.
