On February 18, 2015, MPRB Planning Staff presented an alternate plan for development of the property at 1720 Marshall Street NE. The proposed plan includes:
- Renovate/rebuild the existing service centers in North Minneapolis at Webber Park and in Northeast Minneapolis at Columbia Golf Course to serve park facilities, improve park employee workplace environments and improve park equipment storage capabilities
- Use the 1720 Marshall Street NE site as temporary location for forestry and/or operations as each building is being renovated/rebuilt
- The overall project schedule is anticipated to take 5 to 6 years
Upon the request of the MPRB Commissioners, planning staff will return to present a validated budget with potential funding information.
