Join us for an unforgettable start to summer at the Minneapolis Downtown Parks Kick-off Celebration!

On Wednesday, June 5, head to the Commons for a day filled with excitement, music, games, and good vibes.

Schedule of Events:12:00 PM – Noon Concert at the Commons: Gather your friends and colleagues for a lively lunch break filled with music that will set the perfect tone for the summer ahead. Enjoy the sunshine and let the tunes carry you away as you kick back on the lush green grass of the Commons. The festivities continue at 4:00 PM with an active games extravaganza, featuring cornhole, jumbo connect four, and ladder toss. The Commons will be buzzing with laughter and friendly competition, creating the perfect atmosphere for an afternoon of shared joy.

6:30 PM – Evening Movie in the Park: As the sun sets, gather with your blankets and snacks for a magical outdoor movie experience. We’ve got a blockbuster film lined up that’s sure to entertain the whole family. Relax under the stars and enjoy the cinematic magic on the big screen. The evening festivities reach their peak at 8:30 PM with an open skate session hosted by Twin Cities Skaters. Grab your skates, or use our free ones, and groove to the beats spun by DJ Presto and DJ Ju!ce. Throughout the day, indulge your taste buds with a variety of delicious offerings from local food trucks stationed around the Commons. From savory to sweet, there’s something for everyone to enjoy while soaking in the summer atmosphere.
