Background
History & Funding
Hiawatha School Park is part of the South Service Area Long-Term Plan, an approved plan by MPRB’s Board of Commissioners. The South Side Area Master plan was completed and approved by MPRB in 2016.
This project will construct a new outdoor classroom/gathering area at Hiawatha School Park. The design for the outdoor classroom/gathering area will be guided by the parks’ Master Plan.
Hiawatha School park was allotted Park Dedication funding. This funding will go towards staff, consultant time, community engagement, design and construction.
