This October, Xcel Energy will perform maintenance work on power lines that run through Minnehaha Regional Park. Xcel has worked closely with the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board to minimize the impact on park visitors.
Construction is scheduled for October 13-24.*
During construction hours, you may notice:
- Portions of the dog park will be closed as needed
- Parking lot at E 54th Street and S Minnehaha Park Drive will likely close for Xcel Energy staging
- Traffic control
- Temporary changes to park access
- Construction noise, potentially including low flying helicopters
To help us complete this project safely, please:
- Observe posted signage
- Stay away from construction areas
- Keep children and pets away from restricted areas
