Heat-related closures at Minneapolis recreation centers for July 29

Due to extreme heat, the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) is closing the following non-air-conditioned recreation centers at 6 pm today, July 29.

Closures are required when building conditions exceed OSHA standards for indoor ventilation and temperature.

All activities at these locations will be canceled, with signs posted on the doors and participants notified.

Wading pools and exterior restrooms at recreation centers that have them will remain open until 9 pm.

MPRB recreation centers with air conditioning remain open for regular hours.
