New series organized by the park's first-ever artist in residence!
Posted on 11 July, 2025This July and August, join four different herbalists for a series of guided walks and other activities in the park. Discover the powers of everyday plants and learn about the land and its history. These events are part of Stephanie Lindquist’s artist residency at North Mississippi Regional Park.
MNPAiR, an Artist Residency in the Parks has Lindquist and 11 other artists engaging with parks, park systems or trails statewide – and local communities – in 2024 and 2025.
With the theme of “Creating Belonging,” this pilot program focuses on artists serving as partners to and ambassadors for parks, contributing not just art, but also ideas. The events listed below are free, but registration is required. Click the links below for more information and to sign up.

The History of this Land and its Gifts

During an hour-long walk, learn about some of the history of this land, its gifts and local medicines. Perron is a Dakóta and Anishnaabe mother, author, creator and plant medicine enthusiast will share stories about the land, its gifts
