The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) is re-opening Webber Natural Swimming Pool (NSP) today, August 8. The facility was closed on July 26, when an individual deposited an unknown substance into the pool water.
Since then, MPRB has worked with the Minnesota Department of Health’s Public Health Laboratory (MDH-PHL) to perform analytical testing on water samples from the facility.
The facility’s re-opening is based on results from the MDH-PHL sample analysis, site conditions at the pool, and satisfactory results from MPRB’s regular monitoring for bacteria.
MPRB appreciates everyone’s understanding and patience during this closure. Public health and safety are top priorities at all MPRB facilities.
