Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) 2024 spring adult sports registration opened TODAY, Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2024! Follow the links below to browse upcoming adult sports opportunities and register your team.
You can also register as a free agent if you don’t have a full team, and if you want to stay involved in sports and get paid, consider signing up to be an official!

Softball Information
Season
- Spring/Summer leagues begin the week of April 28 and run through July
- Leagues are offered weekly Sunday-Thursday, no games on holidays
Divisions
- Division C – Competitive. Experienced players and team. Won or placed high in league or Metro Tournament.
- Division D – Three options.
- Intermediate – Experienced team and players, competitive
- REC – A few experienced players but want to have fun
- Leisure – Main focus is to have fun with no runs per inning restriction
- Division E – Leisure. Main focus is to have fun. Half inning ends after 6 runs.
- Open – There are no gender requirements for this division (LGBTQ+ and allies). Everyone is welcome!

Cost
- $540 for 12-week single-game or 6-week doubleheaders.
- $1,050 for 12-week doubleheaders
- $125 for optional Minneapolis Metro Tournament

Spring Sand Volleyball Leagues
Volleyball Information
Season
- Spring leagues begin the week of April 21 and run through June
- Leagues are offered weekly Sunday-Friday, no games on holidays
- All games are at Wirth Beach, 3200 Glenwood Ave. N
Divisions
- A – Skilled players who understand, but may not have completely mastered the dynamics and strategies of both 5-1 or 6-2 offense.
- B – Players who have learned the basic skills with a team strategy of defense, offense and rotations that will make them successful. (Upper and Lower B divisions are available)
- C – Players who are relatively new to the game of officiated volleyball or in the process of learning basic skills.
Cost
- $385 for 6-person teams
- $345 for 4-person teams

Pickleball League Information
Season
- Spring leagues begin the week of April 29 and run through June
- Leagues are offered weekly Monday-Thursday, no games on holidays
Divisions
Pickleball skills are rated on a 1-5 scale, with 1 rated as Beginner and 5 rated as a Pro.
- Beginner – Little or no pickleball experience. Skill level 1.0-1.5.
- Beginner Plus – A little experience or have participated in a Beginner League but not ready to move to Intermediate. Skill level 1.5.-2.0.
- Intermediate – Know basic strokes and are working to further skills. Skill level 2.0-2.5.
- Advanced – Ready for formal, competitive organized play. Skill level 3.0-3.5.
Cost
- $100 for 2-person team

Register as a Free Agent
Are you an individual looking to get placed on a team? Register as a Free Agent. Your information will be passed along to teams needing players. If enough individuals register, an attempt will be made to organize a team from the Free Agent list.
By registering as a free agent you are not guaranteed to be placed on a team. This is a non-refundable $10 fee. If you are asked to join a team you may be subject to paying a portion of the team entry fee (determined by the team).
If you want to be included on more than one free agent list, you must register for each sport individually.

The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board is always looking to hire more officials for any of the sports listed above! Earn extra cash and stay involved in the sports you love!
You can get hired and receive training in one night, for free! Information on sports officials clinics will be posted soon.
