On Saturday, June 3, the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board, Marcy-Holmes Neighborhood Association and neighborhood residents gathered to celebrate new upgrades completed at Marcy Park.

Upgrades include a new full basketball court, dog park and hammock grove, along with path, lighting, and seating improvements. Thank you to everyone who came out to commemorate this great project!

This project was funded through the 20-Year Neighborhood Park Plan, or NPP20 for short. It’s part of a mission to fix up all of Minneapolis’ neighborhood parks over 20 years. It began in 2017 and is scheduled to finish in 2036. All funding is based on a formula that is transparent and rooted in racial equity. Find out where your park stands at the Capital Improvement Program page and learn more at the 20-Year Neighborhood Park Plan page.
